Heatherly Middleton

My name is Heatherly Middleton and I’m excited about this new chapter in my life. Currently I’m a junior in FCHD at Utah State University’s Uintah Basin Regional Campus. I enjoy working with Dr. Law at USU as a research assistant. The two projects that I’m most proud of is our Marriage Enrichment Workshop (MEW), and our weekly radio show, “Marriage and the Family – Empowering Basin Families” on KVEL 920AM or 104.5 FM.
My dream is that we can empower and learn from each other while strengthening our families. Yes – yours and mine. My husband Erik and I have been blessed with three beautiful and fiercely independent children; Alizabeth, Victoria and James. Personally I’m grateful for all they have patiently taught me and continue to teach me as I continuously learn and grow. As a family we enjoy outdoor activities such as tennis, basketball, camping, fishing, hunting (OK, just the boys), cliff jumping and boating. My husband and I bond over the roar of our Harleys (yes I ride my own) and view the countryside. Personally I love long walks, sort runs, yoga, reading, writing and day dreaming (yes I’m an introvert). I am motivated by relationships and serving others.

Rachel Brown

My name is Rachel R Brown; I’m a senior in FCHD at USU and I’ll be graduating in May.  I’m excited to start a new chapter in my life when I head out to graduate school in the fall, but I don’t yet know where I’ll be going.  I’m not married and I don’t have kids of my own, but I’ve learned a lot from observing my parents’ marriage and the relationships and families around me.  While I am interested in many aspects of family life, I hold a special place in my heart for families formed through Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART), being an ART offspring myself.  When I’m not studying, I love to dance, read, ride unicycles and play with my two guinea pigs.
